Integrity Toys' ITBE and Jem Dolls Revealed

Five new ITBE dolls were revealed to W Club members on Friday morning June 26. Each will be available by lottery only. The winners will pay $99. each plus shipping.
Each doll is an edition of between 310-375 and will ship upon receipt of payment.
They have the first generation FR2 body, the Monogram body or the NuFace 1.0 body.
As for the fashions, we've seen them all before in other colors.

From left to right they are:

"Night"
Limited Edition Size of 375 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Minx
Body Type:  Monogram
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Black
(The dress is very unflattering.  Shorten it and put on some chunky jewelry to bring the volume up from her knees to her neckline. I'd cut her hair, too. Too much trouble. She's a mess.)

"Rare Jewel"
Limited Edition Size of 315 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Rayna
Body Type:  Nu.Face 1.0
Skin Tone: Dark A-Tone
Hair Color: Black
(Not only is her dress a repeat, her name is as well.)

"Flawless Impact"
Limited Edition Size of 325 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Dania
Body Type:  Nu.Face 1.0
Skin Tone: Dark A-Tone
Hair Color: Black
(My favorite.)

"Ignite"
Limited Edition Size of 310 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Janay 3.0
Body Type:  FR2 (First Generation)
Skin Tone: Cream
Hair Color: Cherry Brown
(I want her shoes.)

"Media Sensation"
Limited Edition Size of 320 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Alysa 3.0
Body Type:  FR2 (First Generation)
Skin Tone: Cream
Hair Color: Red
(Anyone getting this doll wanting to get rid of the body...contact me.

IFDC's Kesenia and Rayna Dolls

Once again, of the many benefits of being an international shipping buddy is getting to play with dolls that I do not own. Long Cool Woman Kesenia and Rock Me, Baby Rayna are temporary visitors to PA.
I rarely photograph dolls on stands however in this case, I could not remove the plastic from their legs so I decided to just go with it. The shoes on each doll are very nice with their tiny zippers that make it so easy to get them on and off.
Underneath her jacket, Rayna wears a shirt that has string criss-crossed with the ends tied in a big bow. Not my taste so I put up the lapels of her jacket and tucked the strings inside.

Each doll comes with very nice jewelry including a ring.
Nice ring but you may be able to see the difference in color between Kesenia's arms and hands. The hands are yellowish and the rest of her body is not. Not good. I guess if you wait long enough the body may yellow to match the hands.

Kesenia's sculpt is one of my least favorite as she was originally one of the Brides of Dracula.
Remember these?

However, in the LCW version, her mouth is painted with a darker pink lip color-shadow and her teeth aren't as large as other versions.
Long Cool Woman is the best Kesenia to-date IMO. I love her eyes which are two shades of blue-green. Her eyeshadow is a shade that goes really well with her lips. On her tan face, the pink is really pretty.

I'm wondering if IT will ever stop using the color-block look for the eye makeup, eyebrows and lips. It would be nice to see a more painterly approach to facial screening on a few dolls.

Too Close For Comfort?

We've seen over and over again how doll designers use runway fashions for inspiration. We've also seen some outright copies. This one is the latter.

Wunderkind Spring 2011 RTW
Go Home, IFDC Convention Souvenir Doll
Wunderkind's Spring 2011 RTW show took place on October 6, 2010 in Paris. That's a 10 month time span to have a doll ready for an early July, 2011 convention. It almost took that long for me to get a replacement head for a doll! Snark, snark.

Have a look at the entire Wunderkind show.  It's wonderful.  I'd like a few more of these fashions for my dolls! Not this one, however.

Go Home, Go North, Go West, Go Green - Updated

IT released official photographs of the dolls and the fashion they provided for the IFDC event which just took place in Las Vegas, Nevada this past week. All registered guests received the convention souvenir and the table fashion. The other dolls were optional purchases.

Convention Souvenir, Go Home LE300.  New Rayna sculpt. Misaki torso with Vampire Bride legs.

Companion Doll, Go North. LE300. Isha sculpt. Fashion Royalty body.
Salesroom Doll, Go West. LE300. Original Natalia Fatale sculpt. Fashion Royalty body.
Table Gift - Fashion Only.  Go Green LE300
My take on this collection: a lot of thought went into the design and the dolls definitely fit the theme of the event.
The convention doll herself is very Misaki-ish as far as styling. The outfit is cute and girly and I would definitely dress my Misaki dolls in this. She needs a little dog, though. The makeup competes with the outfit for attention.
Go North as the Good Witch is lovely in every way and I would give her a wand.
Go West as the Evil Witch is perfect. Up close her face is hard and harsh. Her fashion is definitely sexy and complex. Very nice.
The fashion looks like it belongs in a St. Patrick's Day parade. Just hand this girl a beer. Who is that prototype anyway? I can't tell the difference between some the dolls anymore. It's like a game of mix and match.

For those who do not know, these are vinyl dolls, 12" tall with rooted hair and painted faces. They have applied lashes and 12 points of articulation.
